Where life takes me and what I make of it
This past weekend I spent a couple of days in Berlin. It was my first time exploring the city, immersing in it, and enjoying the sights in a family outing.
I always try to make time for quiet reading, art making and to visit either galleries or museums if it is for supporting women artists from history and contemporary ones.
I was able to visit one exhibition that I had handpicked and it was because of this stunning artwork by Sofonisba Anguissola, an Italian painter from the Renaissance whose work I admire and regard highly. And what a stunning visit that was. I have created a post for my premium tier members, which is also available for purchase below.
Being a woman, an artist, a mother, a wife, a daughter and all the other hats I wear is not always easy. I offer myself compassion, love and admiration for everything I get done. I’m very proud of the balance I am cultivating with every passing day. I am also so very grateful for all the beautiful souls that have crossed my path in person or through their writings, their instagram accounts and every interaction that fills up my daily cup. Below are the books I read during this trip.
I have over the last month also been running two art workshops in my children’s primary school. A drawing class for preschoolers and a still life painting for primary students. It is with so much joy that I share about art, art making and women artists. It is so beautiful to share the love and admiration I have for the women who have carved a path in the past, and those in the present who are also showing me what is possible in the times I am living. Below are the women I will be sharing about this week with my students.
