Transform as a Dragonfly - London

Study of “Hiraeth” (meaning: a homesickness for a home to which you cannot return, a home which maybe never was; the nostalgia, the yearning, the grief for the lost places of your past). Oil on paper, 27.9 x 42 cm

Life is a constant exploration of our memories, and we do this through our imagination and the fragments that remain from moments lived.

I have a strong attachment to the memory of this particular visit to Venice, it was my second time in this city, it was a turning point in my life. I was about to decide to get married. There was a yearning on my behalf for the life I would be leaving behind when I would make that decision (I was moving to Norway perhaps indefinitely). I will be going again to Venice this summer to continue to develop my art practice attending a course. Being in Venice is always like a dream come true, and in some ways I can say I am looking for a little bit of Venice in every place I visit, as that city holds a very special place in my heart.

UNSEEN REALITY

UNSEEN REALITY

The exhibition “Unseen Reality” proposes to tell, through the works of highly selected authors, that

imaginary dimension, delicate and impalpable, that's hidden behind each thing and that fascinates

and transports the spectator onto the intimacy of the Artist. Each artwork, in its conceptual and

aesthetic uniqueness, tells a story and develops through the sensitivity and the creative ability of the

Artists, offering an alternative dimension and, for certain aspects, more complete: an intimate and

ethereal dimension where emotions dominate. Hence, what emerges is the ability to capture

something that's not banal, revealing the complexity of things that we live daily. The sensitivity of

the creator offers us an unseen interpretation of the phenomenal world and always different causes

for reflection, allowing us to experience reality with renewed sight.

Through aesthetic observation the observer gets stimulated.

The role of WOMAN, her status, her expectations have perhaps never before transformed with such force on a global scale. Connection to our inner voice implores us to evolve, be role models, examples, inspiration for ourselves and future generations.

As the world is changing, inevitably each of us is evolving with it and within. Inside its vortex, how we navigate remains up to us. Alongside shifting demands and radically altered priorities, traditional patterns are collapsing and social models are losing validity. Time to build our own value rankings, make decisions according to our criteria. Adapt, reassess, and set our own rules. Is it possible to embrace ourselves and our roles fully and keep it all going?

Woman.

Muse or inspiration? Inspired or inspirational?

To be a woman is to be divine, to be an artist, a mother, wife, partner, friend, sister, entrepreneur, psychologist, nurse, confidant, and so much more, our roles are endless…

What is the modern woman? What does she curate in? Is there a collective Ikigai? A connection-driven purpose? Paulina, Valentine and Andrea tell a story of what inspires them in their busy beautiful lives, what they admire, what fascinates them, what they live and dream of.

“Gentlemen Prefer Blondes” is a three women show, inviting the audience to consider how our collective past has done women a disfavor. Women are still considered second class citizens in more ways than one, from lower pay than our male counterparts to rights on our bodies, autonomy still at the mercy of powerful men, and society contributing to enforcing the idea that women need to do more while having less and less support. There is enormous pressure to be “successful” but this definition of success often ignores whether this actually mirrors who we are meant to be. With humor, courage, and women, each other by our side, we tackle this theme in our upcoming exhibition. Join us for a lively conversation with three International artists during our vernissage.

Motherhood

Special exhibition. An exhibition where we open to dialogue about motherhood and every aspect surrounding it. Welcome to MOTHERHOOD. An exhibition for mothers, for women, for men, for children and most especially for everyone looking to understand the complexity of gender when it comes to females (referring to the biological physical traits that makes someone be designated to a gender at birth).

📍FAO art HUB - Professor Dahls Gate 37, Oslo

Does Size Matter?

Collaboration with Radisson RED Oslo Økern, they have created a program to showcase artists on a regular basis.

Female Artists Oslo will be hosting regular monthly events for members and have also decided to make this an opportunity for them to also showcase art in Radisson RED Oslo Økern stunning new location.

Theme:DOES SIZE MATTERS? a show focusing on smaller artworks.

For this project, we have also partnered with @biblioteca_ecuador , a project very dear to my heart. It is a privately funded project that has created a library in a small village in the Andes Mountains in Ecuador. @gabriela_holmjorgensen is the founder of this library. The aim for this library is to provide access to books and regular workshops for children in the area to learn live skills. This is extremely necessary and helpful if these kids will have an opportunity to escape poverty. We will be donating 1/2 of the participation fees to this library for every event we host.

Leave a trace - International Art Exhibition

A place of great historical value, a jewel of architecture, overlooking the square of the same name, in the center of Rome, near the tourist Campo Fiori. Historic seat of the Apostolic Chancellery, the Palace dates back to the end of the 1400s and is an extraterritorial area of the Holy See. The noble floor of the Palace Chancellery hosts countless works by great artists: from the vault of the Study Room frescoed by Perin del Vaga to the famous Salon of one hundred days, with a paint by Giorgio Vasari.

The new exhibition entitled Leave A Trace, presented by Anna Isopo of Arte Borgo Gallery, arises from the aspects of singular expressive languages that constitute a presence, a trace, which every single interpreter leaves behind. A solid connection between present and future in which profound and unconscious elements of inspiration materialize. Complex languages elaborated between colors, signs and shapes which, although different, are emotionally connected. A soft and suggestive poiesi that vibrates the thread of perception in continuous evolution.
