With every portrait, dedicating time and attention to how art is shaping me and how I am creating a narrative, around my life story. This is a story that also converges with the story of many women present, and past. Some of these women are part of my life through blood lines, other times I am being guided through the artworks of other artists, who came before me, particularly by women artists, looking at their journeys, learning from them. Connecting with their stories, understanding my own story as I grow within my artistic practice. Because I am carving a path within art for myself, one that is different and that fills me with joy and fuels me.
