Desillusion gathers Ecuadorian and diaspora women artists working across painting, photography, ceramics and thread. Their practices move between worlds, geographic, cultural and interior, and refuse to resolve the distance. Here, disillusion is not the loss of belief but the unveiling of what has long been pushed to the edges, and a quiet insistence on being seen.

Within this space, representation is never fixed. The works offer fragments instead of answers: gestures of care, acts of refusal, quiet assertions of presence. Desillusion becomes a threshold, a place where inherited images lose their authority and other ways of seeing begin to take form.
