The first edition opened on the UN's World Mental Health Day, 10 October 2025. Five works met the room: What If I rest // ¿Qué si descanso?, a 2.9 × 3.9 metre curtain of thread, wool, embroidery and metal, carrying the invisible labour of motherhood. OPEN, a textile of lace and yarn folded like a letter about mental wellbeing. Estoy contigo // Standing with you, a crochet rug visitors wove with their fingers. Write in ME, an oil painting where each visitor wrote a love note to themselves. And Quipu M, a silent performance where I knotted an ancient Inca record, reconnecting with my heritage.

The room held more than works: a table with poems and paper, a shelf of books to take from and return to. I was joined by fellow artists Maria Celine Qvistad, Elisabeth Handelsby and Theodora Dea, and held up by the OIS community. The next edition opens 10 October 2026.
