• What If I rest // ¿Qué si descanso?

Thread, crochet, wool, fabric, embroidery and metal.

    2.9 x 3.9 meters

This is a curtain like artwork, that allows us to see through it, yet it is engaging and deceiving.

Mental health and the invisible labor / mental load of motherhood are the main inspirations behind this artwork.

  • OPEN

Textile, lace, yarn with mixed techniques

    60 × 80 cm (wrapped)

    142 × 140 cm (unwrapped)

A letter to remind us of the importance of mental health awareness, the fragility and tenacity of the human spirit, all in one.

Last installation piece for Self-Motherhood Project, inviting viewers to remain open about new ways (or existing ways that have been forgotten/neglected) to look after their mental wellbeing.

  • Estoy contigo / Standing with you
    Raw wool yarn, crochet rug
    75 x 47 cm

Second Interactive Artwork for Self-Motherhood Project. Weave fabric with fingers to leave behind repressed emotions.

Sensorial experiences have released much of my own anxiety, and in this artwork, I am sharing with participants an act that would have been a regular experience in many cultures throughout our evolution, but which in modern societies has been replaced by engagement with devices such as smartphones, tablets and computers.

  • Write in ME

    Oil painting on canvas

    80 × 120 cm

Leave a LOVE NOTE TO SELF

This is an interactive artwork, where you, the participants, are invited to write a little note that shows love and care for yourselves. This is a way to promote cultivating a positive self-image and self-satisfaction.

  • Quipu M

    Yarn, metal, mixed techniques

    SILENT PERFORMANCE

Creating a Quipu, an ancient Inca Knot record, reflective of my motherhood experience.

I chose this method of creating an artwork, as a way to reconnect with my own heritage and to do a mindful exercise while presenting the Self-Motherhood Project.
